Butterfly House pupils and their teachers/friends visited us today for some treats. We were able to snap a few photos, but we assume Susan Shillinglaw took many and can be contacted for those. Happy Halloween/Dia de los Muertos/All Souls/All Saints/Fall!

TLM Contest Results
Posted in Resources on October 29, 2008 by bishoppaynelibraryLeigh Hall is the happy winner of a Garmin GPS system. Leigh correctly identified 8/11 professors based upon books they cited as formational and upon brief blurbs they submitted about their choices. The “Name That Professor” contest was held in honor of Theological Libraries Month. Congrats to Leigh, and thanks to all those who participated.
AAEHC Banner
Posted in Resources on October 23, 2008 by cpoteIn case you are wondering about the new addition at the entrance of Bishop Payne Library, it is a banner representing the African American Episcopal Historical Collection located here in the archives. The banner was commissioned by VTS and the Historical Society of the Episcopal Church to debut at the Day of Repentance activities in Philadelphia earlier this month. The service was the Church’s public acknowledgement and apology for its role in transatlantic slavery. The banner accompanied VTS students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the Historical Society, as we represented the seminary and the AAEHC in the solemn service of forgiveness.
